It is with great sadness in my heart that I had to say goodbye and let go of my sweet little Fluffy today (September 3, 2014). Unfortunately I had to help her make her journey across the Rainbow Bridge, but I know in my heart I made the right decision for Fluffy. She is no longer suffering.
She came into the rescue in March of 2008 (and was my foster dog) along with 15 other dogs that we rescued. She was in terrible shape and required surgery to remove 6 tumors. She had a hole in her neck, she had a bad yeast infection, had dry eye, was completely blind in one eye, had four teeth removed, had to be spayed and had demodectic mange in her feet (that we continued to fight and treat for the last 6 years). But through all of that, she remained to be the sweetest little dog and made me smile everyday. Her looks were as unusual as she was and her soul was bigger than life. I will truly miss my little “Fluffer Nutter Peanut Butter” or “Nutty Butt” (as I called her), but she will FUREVER remain in my heart. Thank you to PPR for allowing me to adopt her. She brought me and our family many years of love, laughter and smiles. I just hope that, in return, I did the same for her.
