We are a small group of friends who have been united forever due to our love of Yorkies. The group's founders are Mary Lou Spang, Russ and Linda Klopfenstein. Linda met Mary Lou (and husband - Fred) when they adopted one of her foster dogs (Ginger) and they became good friends. they were both active in various rescue groups and have now decided to do something on their own.
We are very busy trying to raise the finances which are necessary when you provide the needed care to a shelter, puppymill or owner surrender dog. Our foster dogs are treated as one of our own in our homes and, as every dog has a different personality, our goal is to match the dog to the family.
Mary Lou is our expert sewer and Linda is the treat maker and can be found at craft fairs and festivals throughout the Dayton, Ohio (Miami Valley) area. Check out our events page for additional information. We have a wonderful fun time meeting all of you at the craft fairs and dog shelter events. They are a lot of work to prepare for, however helping a dog in need and fulfilling a new family's dream of a new companion is its own reward.
